Atlas allows hosts to choose among six standardized cancellation policies (Flexible, Moderate, Strict, Long Term, Super Strict 30 Days and Super Strict 60 Days) that we will enforce to protect both guest and host alike. Each listing and reservation on our site will clearly state the cancellation policy. Guests may cancel and review any penalties by viewing their travel plans and then clicking ‘Cancel’ on the appropriate reservation. A host will be able to see the number of reservations a guest has canceled over the previous 12 months when the guest submits a request to book.
For a full refund, cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 28 full days prior to listing’s local check-in time (3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check-in.
If the guest cancels the reservation before the start date, the first month of the reservation is paid to the host in full and not refunded to the guest.
If the guest cancels the reservation during their stay, the guest must use the online alteration tool in order to agree to a new checkout date. Regardless of the checkout date chosen, the guest is required to pay the host for the 30 days following the cancellation date, or up to the end date of the guest’s original reservation if the remaining portion is less than 30 days.
Note: Guests won’t get a refund of the service fee if they’ve received 3 service fee refunds in the last 12 months or if the cancelled reservation overlaps with an existing reservation.
